Subject to this regulation, the duties, duties and powers of the Deputy Attorney General shall be as follows:-
(a) To assist the Attorney General in the performance of his duties,
(b) Providing legal opinion advice to the Government of Nepal, any ministry, secretariat or constitutional body of the Government of Nepal on any constitutional or legal matter,
(c) To appear in court and advocate on behalf of the Government of Nepal or the officials or employees of the Government of Nepal in cases involving the rights, interests or concerns of the Government of Nepal,
(d) Taking or causing action related to filing an application on behalf of the Government of Nepal or an officer or employee of the Government of Nepal for appeal, review or retrial in a case involving the rights, interests or concerns of the Government of Nepal,
(e) Appointing other public prosecutors in addition to the designated public prosecutor to prosecute or defend any case of serious or public importance pending in the court or in any case involving the rights, interests or concerns of the Government of Nepal, if it is deemed necessary to prosecute and defend the case, appoint an additional public prosecutor. ,
(f) To do the work to be done as the head of the department.
